A roof cowl is an ideal fitting to use whe you are venting an extractor fan through the roof.
- Male fitting with swage (slips directly into spiral duct). Fix using recommended methods.
- A roof vent cowl discharges air in a vertical position.
- Used in applications where a duct termination is required at roof level.
- Fitted with mesh to stop wildlife entering into the duct termination point.
- Design incorporates a top hat to prevent rain entering the duct.
- Circular end has a male connection to fit directly into circular spiral ducting (secure using recommended fixing methods).

When should I use a vent at roof level?
Basically when you are venting an extractor fan through a roof a cowl for venting should be used as it will stop water ingress. Our metal cowls also have a wildlife mesh to prevent animal ingress. The top hat on the cowl is specifically designed to stop rainfall entering to duct system.
Do I need to use a flashing when expelling air through a roof?
It is advisable use a flashing to create a water tight seal where the duct comes through the tiles.
